Mainstage Theatrical Supply

Hey Guys! I went to my local theatrical supply store and this would be my first time ever going there. I never realized I had one until I did some research on the internet. They only have Ben Nye Products which was exactly what I was looking for. If you are interested you can also purchase products on their website. Mainstage Theatrical Supply or at the Internatinal Fun-shop. First I went to to this costume store that had some theatrical makeup but never the products I was looking for and the lady told me she could order it and it would be in by the next day and now I know where she gets it from, Mainstage, because no way could she order from anywhere else and it would come that fast. That costume store was way over priced anyways.

Cost: $7:00 for 2 fl. oz they have it in smaller or bigger sizes also
First product is Ben Nye's Final Seal Matte Makeup sealer. After your makeup application you spritz this on your face and it should seal your makeup on for the whole day. Of course this was made for the hot lights of stage performance so I thought why not try it for everyday makeup. I hate when my makeup starts to glide off my face due to my oily skin. I'm not sure if this works yet but I sure will update you guys later about it. I sprayed it on my face right when I got home and the nozzle is very powerful. I would love it if it was in a fix plus bottle. An active ingredient is alcohol so I'm a little worried about that.

Cost: $5.00 for 49 grams
I have heard so many great reviews on this product. I'm definitey trying to find a great translucent setting powder. This comes in a bottle but it has shaker holes on top. I put tape over it so it wouldn't come out a mess and then I poked one of the holes. I've lightly powdered my face with it and I'm quite pleased. I'll do a full on makeup look and put this on and see if it alters my makeup. I've tried Bareminerals Mineral Veil and never again will I use that. It's active ingredient was cornstarch and all it did was make my face look ghostly. On top of that Bareminerals foundation already has spf of 25 so in pictures your head looks like it is floating on top of a really tan body. SPF and pictures with flash is not a good combo.

They also carried all of the Lumiere Luxe Powders (or pigments) and all of the pressed shadows. I got so excited!!! but of course I was on a budget =( and I always stuck to it. So I got one in Amethyst. This jar holds 8 grams of product for 10 or 9 dollars. It said 10 but she sold it for 9. Now think about this

MAC pigments-- 7.5 grams for 18.00
Face Front Cosmetics Paint me Perfect shadows-- 5 grams for $10.oo
Ben Nye Lumiere Luxe Powders-- 8 grams for 9 dollars

This is to show you how big it is next to a 5 gram jar.

First pic shows the shadow under different bases. Second pic has no flash

My next trip to Mainstage would be for a Conceal All Wheel and more Lumiere Luxe Powders.
If your on a budget theatrical makeup is an awesome alternative to the other high end brands of makeup. Theatrical makeup is made for intense heat so you know your getting some good quality stuff. Some awesome brands are Ben Nye, Mehron and Kryolan.

MUA mini Swap Haul

Hey guys! So I have a very mini swap haul. If your not familiar with swapping let me tell you a little about it. Its a website called MakeupAlley.com. This website has user reviews of everything that is beauty related. Hair products, Makeup, Skin Care and Hot Tools. I always look at this site before I buy anything that I am unfamiliar with. Another great thing about this website is that you can swap makeup with people. Yeah at first I was like thats disgusting your swapping germs practically. So I only swap for things I know I can sterilize thoroughly like pressed powder products and lip sticks. Pressed powder you can spray with alcohol and swipe off the first layer. Lipstick shave off the top layer and dip in alcohol. I advise you not to swap mascaras or liquid liners. I think swapping is great when you have a product you never use or you tried it and you hate it. So why not swap with someone that wants it and you want something of theirs?

The products you se below are what I got for swapping my Benefit She Laq which I hated! It did nothing for me.

If your looking for any Ben Nye products check out the fun-shop
I actually checked on this website to see the color of Cinderella Blue and the swatch they give you on the website I thought would have been much lighter like a sky blue but apparently its much more muted.
MAC Peaches is a matte version of MAC Hello Kittys Fun and Games
As you can see it's pretty knicked up and I didn't know that because the person never mentioned it to me so if you do swap always ask for pictures.
It took me a couple applications for it to show. I think I may need a base to go under this so it doesn't fly off my face so quickly.

It's pretty vibrant but I may also need a base under this. It came off pretty easily.

Outlet haul

I swung by the outlet today with my mother while running some errands today. Let me share with you what I got.
First off we stopped by a beauty supply shop in town that we have never visited before and I found me some cheap falsies. Wigs filled up every inch of that shop, wow it was amazing and they sold nyx so I'll definitely be going back there sometime.

These shoes I got at a boutique store down at the outlet and I am in desperate need of flip flops and sandals. I wear the same flipflops everyday. I'm starting to feel the cement where the heel hits.

Pink Iris Fluidline

Light as air Powerpoint pencil

Cool Heat e/s

I live in the middle betwen two different CCOs and the one I went to today was not the usual one I always go to. I was very surprised that they have alot of items that the other CCO doesn't have. What got me angry was they had Mutiny Pigment which was the only item I got from the A Rose Romance collection. Like really?! geeze I could have saved me some money.

MUFE Camouflage Palette No. 2

I swiped it a couple of times. Price: $36
Can't truly rate it but a 5 out of 5 for consistency. Lightweight well pigmented.

I really like this palette the only thing wrong with it is I GOT THE WRONG COLOR PALETTE! ahhhh! I don't have a sephora around me so I asked my sister to get it for me in Cali and she brought it down for me during Spring Break. There are 4 different palettes. I really think I should have gotten No.3. Consistency is great. Very light weight, buildable. The purple color is to neautralize yellow undertones. This is very pricey but I couldn't resist I wanted to try it so bad. I think I would have fell in love if I would have gotten the right palette. The only use for it now is for my makeup kit when I do others makeup. =) Another product I will be definitely trying is Ben Nye's Coneal all wheel. I am on a hunt for the best conealer out there. Watch me!

A Rose Romance

Hey guys!! I went to my local MAC counter and I checked out the Rose Romance collection. Everything I was expecting to buy I decided not to. =/ Everything was very subtle, not a lot of color. There was one thing I bought though and it was Mutiny pigment. This is my very first full jar pigment! I have so many samples but no full jars. I felt that in the jar it looked so pretty but once I swatched it looked like it was just a high intensity frost with a hint of blue. Kind of disappointing. I'll definitely be doing a look with this color after I do a neutral look =)

This Weeks Mini Haul

I don't think I'll ever be able to have a true haul. I envy those who are able to spend money on many products on one trip to the store. Of course their are those who save money for a day where they go all out and splurge but that will never be me. I have to buy something every week so I never have money saved up for a huge haul. I guess you can call it an ADDICTION!

Robert Simmons E67 Filbert Brush
Price: 11.99 / 40% coupon about 7
Rating: 5 stars
First I'm going to start off with my new Michaels brush. Today I actually went to Michaels and just looked at all their brushes to see if I could use any of them. I found the most perfect brush for concealer application. The Robert Simmons E67 Filbert! This is such a great brush. It's pretty stiff and a perfect size for me. At the moment I'm using Sonia Kashuks flat foundation brush for concealer application and it's just a little to big and it leaves streak marks so I have to blend it out with my finger. I do own a Lowell cornell filbert brush but its a little smaller and it is stained by my HIP creamliner. I initially bought it for concealer but it was way to small (picture on side, black one) I've realized that all my paint brushes from Michaels stain easily from my makeup. It's a pain to clean. The colors on my brushes will seriously not come out even if I clean it with EVOO. The EVOO will also stain it! These brushes I'm referring to are my Maxine Mops and Lowell Cornells. But it's ok I get them pretty cheap. I suggest everyone to check Printable-Coupons.blogspot.com before going to to any store. I have saved so much money from coupon clippings from this website. It updates you on recent coupons from restaurants, beauty stores, retail, and groceries. I won't go to Michaels without a coupon. I just think its ridiculous to spend full price on something when they will always have coupons every week no matter if its 25% or 40%.

Beautique Lip Liners
Price:
1.99 / with Beauty card 1.29/ This months special buy 2 get one free
Rating: 3 out 5
I went to Sally's Beauty Supply and I saw these lip liners and I was alittle iffy in buying them. I've had experience with cheap liners where they feel like a coloring pencil, nice and hard. These were amazingly soft. They glided on my lips like butta! The staying quality is why I gave it a 3. It will rub off quite quickly but then again im constantly eating so I'm always reapplying lipstick throughout the day. After I applied those lipliners to my hand I rubbed it off with one swipe =. They will do for now. Go to SallysBeauty.com to get the coupon for the month.

Rings
Price: 5 each / 2 for 8.00
Last but not least are my rings I got from Charlotte Russe. I'm starting to like big rings now and these are pretty BIG. Today in class a guy said, "Do you have problems with bees?" O wow that was a knee slapper! lol. The glass looking one you can actually adjust the ring to your size but the other ring you can't and it's alittle to big for me.

Mini CCO Haul and Paint Pot Swatches

Yay! I went to the CCO today and got me a few things. I was so excited when I walked in I haven't gone in forever!! So I had a budget when I walked in the door and it was 40 hmm.. what an unrealistic budget. I walked in and added like 5 items to my bag and then I realized holy crap im over budget because I also wanted to save money for other stores also. So I have to put a lip liner and an eyeshadow back =( oh well. I think the most suprising item I saw there was Studio Sculpt foundation and they only had it in 3 shades and amazingly they had it in mine. I was freaking out. What I also saw that I really wanted but I just couldn't squeeze it in my budget was the MAC 189 foundation brush ughhhhh I wanted it! I'll probably go back in like 3 weeks or so. It takes me 45 mins to get there so that's why I don't go as much.

Here are some swatches of the Fresh Green Mix and all of my Paint Pots I own =) Enjoy!
