Save your face from all that makeup!

I get this question all the time

Q:: How do you not break out from all that makeup you wear at school?

A:: Here are some tips for heavy makeup users

For every day makeup always use a primer.
Some primer brands are-- Rimmel, Smashbox, MUFE, MAC,
This creates a barrier over your skin so foundation doesn't seep into your pores

Ok for those heavy makeup users who like a very heavy coverage.

Use Derma shield

This is the heavy duty stuff. Usually actors use this stuff because of the amount of makeup they are putting on their skin. To show you how well this works watch this video.

Detailed Skin Care Routine

I know everyone has their own skin care routine but I just wanted to share what I use and what works for me. If your still having problems finding the right skin care products that suits you this post may help you out. =)

Outline
  • Wash twice with cleanswer
  • Eye makeup remover
  • Facewipes (remove extra residue)
  • moisturizer
  • Acne spot treatment
  • face spritzer
My skin care process usually starts at night, besides moisturizing in the morning before my makeup appliction. After a long day and wearing makeup that seeps into the pores I wash my face twice with two different products. First with the Nutrioniste Detoxifying gel cleanser which helps take the makeup off and I wash my face again with the Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Cleanser which takes the dirt out while at the same time preventing me from having pimples. You don't have to have two different cleansers but I like to because The Clean and Clear will dry me out alittle because of the Salicylic Acid 2%. I think the Clean and Clear is a great product for oily skin though, it really prevents pimples but make sure you have a good rich moisturizer.

After my face is all cleansed my eyeliner is smudged all over the place. I take a Q-tip and dip it in my Lancome Bi-Facil eye Makeup remover and rub down my eyes with it. I then take my walmart brand equate face wipes and wipe down the oily residue. I'll do this process one more time with the other side of Q-tip to make sure my eyes are eyeliner/mascara free. I'll take the rest of the wipe and wipe down my face and neck. You would be soooo surprised how much makeup residue you have left even after washing your face twice. I usually focus on my neck and hairline. I believe you don't have to spend so much money on expensive makeup wipes because these non expensive brands are just as good and you get more for less.

Now that I know that my face is completely residue free I go and head off to moisturizing. I use Clean and Clear Advantage oil-free acne moisturizer. I was very hesitant to use this product thinking 'oh crap my face is going to be soo dry after using this' but I had to just try it out. This contains .5% Salicylic Acid so it's not as drying. It really moisturizes and I give it 2 thumbs up. I really think this product is the reason why I rarely have pimples.

On days that I do have pimples I'll spot treat it with the Clean and Clear Advantage. ( Can you see how much I like Clean and Clear products lol). This thing is like the greatest product ever. You know there are times I am stressed out and I have like a massive pimple so I'll double shot it with the Clean and Clear Advantage spot treatment and the Clean and Clear Persa-Gel maximum strength, which contains benzoyl peroxide 10%. This will dry it out completely and get it to the ending stage where it transforms in to a white head. Some may not like this process but if your up for experimenting go right ahead. Dry skin girls with pimples please do not try this method.

So after all of those steps the very last thing I do is spritz myself with Fix+ of course. Fix+ = my friend. There's so many things you can do with Fix+ its amazing, but then again if you filled it up with scented water I probably wouldn't notice =. I really hope this helps some people out. I love trying new things and I don't think I really ever stuck to one item or routine. I have like 5 different brands of shampoo/conditioner bottles that I have tried half way and moved on. I'm never satisfied with many products because I always believe there is something better out there for me. So if your interesting in these products, try it out cause you may really like it =)

Need A Margarita? Body Scrub

Price: 13.50
Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Attention: To all girls with Alligator legs!
This Citrus body scrub works miracles. My legs, I have to admit are quite scaly, (I know so unattractive) I saw this product at Bath and Body Works and I decided why not try it out. I warn you the margarita scent is very strong. Someone who is very sensitive to strong smells may get a little light headed. The way I applied this product was after I washed my hair and was still in the shower I'd rub the scrub in circular motions on my legs and arms. Then I rinsed it off after I was satisfied with the scrubbing. The first time I did this the scrub was a little irritating for my hands because it was rubbing agaisnt my palms. If you have sensitive palms use gloves!
The RESULTS: I loved the way it made my legs and arms feel very smooth and hydrating. I've tried Baby Oil Gel before but I just felt so oily and I never wanted to lay on my bed and that's with using just a dime size for my legs. This doesn't give me that oily feeling at all. The only thing is with this product is, to keep that nice smooth leg look, you may have use it every other day.
I'm not sure if they still have this product but if you get your hands on this you won't regret it.
